February is Age Related Macular Degeneration Month

Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is a disease of the retina where the macula is damaged. Those suffering with AMD will lose central vision and cannot see fine detail but their peripheral vision will be normal.  Early detection and management of this disease is essential to prevent irreversible damage and vision loss.  MacularRisk is a test that can genetically predict the likelihood of developing the disease and VistaRisk will assess the best form of treatment to manage the disease once diagnosed.
